(More customer reviews)DA 15mm is unique in many regards. First, it has a built-in lens hood which is made of high quality metal and has a very tight fit. Second, the focus ring is silky smooth and well damped which reminds me of the K and M era Pentax manual focus lenses. Third, it uses 49mm filters. I have not seen any other lenses in this focal length that uses 49mm filter. Fourth, the resolution is high and its resistance to flare is remarkable. Finally, it is ultra compact and yet extremely solid in hand. These charismatics make it the best choice for travel and for shooters who would like to have a wide angle lens but do not use it all the time.
The bottomline is that I would not mind to sleep with it.
Any downside? f4 is a bit small. 14mm would be better. But hey, can you make it the same lens?
